#9 - Victor's Last Home Win at DC
After every victory, our sons ran on the court to celebrate with their dad. February 10, 2015, was no different. But something in my spirit told me to take the picture. So I did. I didn't know it at the time but it would be Victor's last time coaching in the Dallas Christian School gym.
After 6 years as the Head Boys Basketball Coach, he left as the winningest basketball coach and was just 11 point shy of a state title in 2013. He was the only African American classroom teacher whose portrait hung on their Decade of Service wall and the only African American Head Coach in Varsity sports
This photo reminds me of all the joy - because there was plenty in 12 years. It also reminds me that these boys love and celebrate their dad who is a good man and a good coach. It reminds me that Victor is a winner. That's not a label - that's his name.
When your spirit speaks to you; listen.
